Coming to the USA - Canyon Bikes 6

As of August 2017, the biggest direct-to-consumer bike brand in the world will sell and fulfill US orders straight out of a US operating base in Southern California.

After a long wait, Germany's Canyon Bikes have finally arrived in the United States. The direct-to-consumer brand brings years of experience, some very interesting mountain bikes, excellent pricing, and various unique technologies to the table. To celebrate the big occasion, Vital MTB's Product Editor, Brandon Turman, did his best to keep up with World Cup schralpers Troy Brosnan and Mark Wallace on Whistler's Rainbow Mountain helicopter drop.

Strap in for the mega descent and listen while we chat with Moritz Strรถer, Product Development Engineer, and Daniel Oster, Product and Brand Manager, about the process of moving to the States, the hurdles Canyon had to overcome, how the business will be run, which models will be available, special projects, testing with the Pros, customer service, and more:

For many years, we have heard from riders wanting Canyon to come to the US so they can have access to the same award-winning bikes ridden by top professionals across a range of disciplines. We are pleased to announce that we are now able to share the Canyon experience in the United States.

Early morning at the Canyon booth in the Crankworx Whistler expo.

The 160/135mm travel carbon fiber Canyon Strive will start at $3,999 USD. It features Canyon's Shapeshifter technology which quickly changes geometry, travel, and suspension performance with a flip of a lever to suit your terrain.

Canyon's Sender downhill bike will be available soon.
The MX Link is said to enable Canyon to tune the shock leverage ratio independent of anti-squat, pedal kickback, or anti-rise.

A trip up Rainbow Mountain in Whister, BC marked Troy Brosnan's first helicopter ride, an experience we're sure he'll repeat in the future.

Canadian ripper Mark Wallace with his custom-tuned Sender. Yeah bud!

Daniel Oster, Canyon Product and Brand Manager, has a genuine personality and is an avid rider.
Moritz Strรถer, Canyon Product Development Engineer, was right on our tail as we raced down the mountain.

2008 marked first year Canyon's international sales surpassed German sales, and the brand has continued to grow strongly across the globe ever since.
